TENDERS

Request for Tenders are advertised, in the Armidale Express by Council and Sydney Morning Herald by Tenderlink, as required by local government legislation.

Full information and documentation in relation to requests for tender are available on Tenderlink, Council’s online tendering system:

This is a free service for potential suppliers.

Potential suppliers can register to receive emails from Tenderlink about procurement opportunities from a variety of organisations, or potential suppliers can search for council’s specific requests for tenders using the unique Tenderlink number for each of council’s requests for tender.
Request for tender documentation is available for download at Tenderlink.

All questions during the ‘out to tender’ phase are asked by suppliers and answered by Council through the Tenderlink system.
Tenders are submitted by potential suppliers by upload to Tenderlink.
Each request for tender will have a Council Officer nominated as a primary contact for all enquiries after the tender has closed.

Uralla Bridges Assessment - Contract Number U18/7383

Quotations from suitably qualified and experienced consultants are invited and will be received up to 4pm Friday, 23 March 2018 for the following works:

Undertake Level 3 inspections on 14 bridge structures located in the Uralla LGA to assess current load carrying capacity and identify requirements to provide capacity for HML vehicles.

Active Expressions of Interest

Queen Street Uralla Caravan Park

Expressions of Interest – 2 year Management Contract
 
Council owns and operates the Queen Street Uralla Caravan Park located at 17 Queen Street, Uralla.
The park has been operated by Council staff since the end of January upon the cessation of previous lease arrangements.
 
Council has resolved to operate the park under a Management Contract arrangement and is seeking expressions of interest for a 2 year management contract.
 
The park has 20 plus powered sites, and a large grassed area for informal unpowered camp sites.
There a 3 permanent owner occupied cabins and one permanent owner occupied caravan within the park.
 
In addition to the permanent residents, for the 4 month period from the end of January to the end of May, the park had 463 powered site visitor nights and 171 unpowered site visitor nights. Based on these numbers being representative, annual gross revenue is estimated to be in the order of $78,000. Council is looking to the management contractor to assist in increasing the visitor numbers and associated revenues and viability of the caravan park.
 
The lower area of the caravan park is subject to flooding in significant wet weather events.
Interested persons are encouraged to note the requirements of the draft contract in developing their submission.
 
We are seeking to engage a Contract Manager who can demonstrate experience or the capacity to deliver in the following areas: 
 
•the successful operation of a Caravan Parks or complimentary hospitality based business 
•increasing the caravan park turnover and occupancy 
•providing exemplary customer service 
•development of management plans and processes
•undertaking of regular safety audits of the premises
•packaging the Park together with other business operators to add value to the experience of Park patrons and spread the benefit to the town businesses.
 
Submissions are to be addressed to the General Manager, Uralla Shire Council and marked PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL – Queen Street Uralla Caravan Park Contract Management Services Expression of Interest, and include the following:
 
1.A cover letter detailing the applicant’s understanding of the role and proposed methodology for managing the park, including relief services when absent;
2.A brief history of applicable experience demonstrating the necessary capacity to perform the management services to a high standard;
3.Proposed fortnightly charge for the management services $ per fortnight;
4.Proposed commission % for gross takings excluding GST;
5.References (at least 2 professional and 1 character references);
6.Stated agreement with the position requirements as detailed in the draft contract and any proposed exclusions.
 
The closing date for submissions is 30 September 2018.

Local Tourism related Independent Representative

Uralla Shire Council is seeking Expressions of Interest for one (1) independent Local Tourism Industry related Committee Representatives for a fixed period of time.

The role involve supporting Council, and providing recommendations for Council’s consideration, on concept designs prepared to improve the facility and options prepared to better align the Visitor Information Centre’s offerings with Shire tourism assets.

Attendance at 1 or 2 meetings is proposed in late August/early September on a Tuesday evening (to be advised) from 5pm-7pm to provide recommendations to the Council for the 25 September 2018 Ordinary Council Meeting.

Expressions of Interest invited for Uralla Township and Environs Committee

Uralla Shire Council has established a Section 355 Committee to provide advice on the future of public space in Uralla and is now seeking expressions of interest from members of the community to serve on the committee.

The Uralla Township and Environs Committee will meet at least twice a year, with further meetings to be facilitated as needed. The committee will operate for an interim period of 12 months, with its continued operation to be reviewed by Council in 2019. Council is seeking up to 12 community members, who together reflect the demographics of the Shire, to serve on the committee.
