Uralla Home and Community Care (HACC)
A Social Group for people 65 years and over. The Group of about 20 men and women meet once a week on Monday’s, from 9am to 2pm at the Uralla Community Centre, (Hill Street). We provide a freshly cook morning tea and lunch and raffles included at minimal cost - $8.00, in addition we provide transport to and from the Community Centre if required.
Please come and join us – it’s all about having fun.
We also provide one on one assistance for older people living at home – such as
- Transport assistance – a program where a volunteer will pick you up from your own home – take you to your appointment and then bring you home again - Cost varies, please contact us.
- Exercise classes - on Wednesday’s 2pm-3pm, cost is $3.00. Light stretching exercises, balancing and coordination is the main focus. Transport can be arranged for pick up and taking you home.
- Gardening and Minor Home Maintenance - Cost varies, please contact us.
- Shopping service and other individual assistance - Cost varies, please contact us.

Volunteers - are very much needed, we are very much in need of volunteer drivers – use your own car or our Service Car. Petrol money is reimbursed for the use of your car. Again please phone us if you can help.
