Species Impact Statement

Species Impact Statement from 2009 for Lot 64 DP 755816, known as 110 Devoncourt Road, Uralla, owned by Dr N Schutte. Submissions are no longer being sought for this study.

The Species Impact Statement is for a 7 lot rural residential subdivision (DA 36/2008 – Applicant:; Dr N Schutte) on a 20ha site and is a requirement of the Commonwealth Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts which determined the proposed development as a controlled action under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) on 13 February 2008 (EPBC 2008/3952).

The person taking the action is Dr Nicola Schutte. The controlling provision under Part 3, Division 1 of the EPBC Act is: - Section 18 & 18A (listed threatened species and ecological communities).

The proposal involves the disturbance of the ‘White Box – Yellow Box – Blakely’s Red Gum Grassy Woodlands and Derived Native Grasslands‘, listed as a critically endangered ecological community under the EPBC Act and listed as an endangered ecological community under the NSW Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995.
