Uralla Swimming Pool Opens This Weekend
Published on 16 October 2020
The Uralla Pool will reopen this weekend with a COVID Safe plan in place to protect the health of the community.
The Uralla Swimming Pool will open its doors for the season on Saturday, 17 October 2020 at 12:00 noon.
Council has implemented a COVID Safety Plan for the reopening to comply with NSW Government guidelines. New measures include capacity limitations, providing EFTPOS facilities, and visitors are required to check in on arrival.
Uralla Shire Council Mayor, Cr Michael Pearce said these extra measures have been put in place to keep the community and staff safe.
“We’re encouraging visitors to leave their cash at home and pay with their card instead,” Mayor Pearce said.
“Pool goers will also need to sign in at the door before entry and of course maintain the 1.5m physical distancing guidelines.”
Council is encouraging visitors to follow the ‘Keep a beach towel between you’ campaign from the NSW Government as a good way to check pool goers are keeping their distance.
Council urges the community to follow NSW Health guidelines this summer and to stay home if displaying any symptoms including fever, cough, sore or scratchy throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss of taste or smell, and get tested for COVID-19.
“We know how much our community loves the pool during the warmer months, and we look forward to welcoming back visitors to the pool this weekend,” Mayor Pearce said.
“Exercising and relaxing at the pool is a great way for anyone to maintain their health and wellbeing while beating the summer heat.”
