Uralla Shire Council Projects funded by Stronger Country Communities Fund

The Stronger Country Communities Fund is an initiative of the NSW State Government.

As part of the first round of funding for this program the following projects will be developed in Uralla Township:

Alma Park

  • Large playground activity tower
  • Giant single pivot nest swing
  • Double flying fox
  • Picnic shelters
  • Artificial and organic soft fall
  • Junior and senior play equipment installations
  • Two new BBQs with shelters
  • Sundry seating

Other parks upgrades

  • Porter Park – one play equipment installation with shade sail and fencing as well as a BBQ with shelter
  • Rotary Park – one BBQ with shelter
  • Gilmore Park – one play equipment installation and seating
  • Hampden Park – six exercise stations
  • Uralla Sporting Complex – one play equipment installation with shade sail and fencing.

The second funding round of the program will include the following projects:

  • Upgrade of Uralla Sporting Complex, including infrastructure repairs/upgrades for all users and new recreation facilities
  • Parks composite project, including new installations for Invergowrie, Bundarra, Kentucky, and Kingston
  • Repairs and upgrade to Uralla swimming pool, including shade, BBQs and seating
  • Bundarra Sport and Recreation Club amenities block
  • Uralla Tigers Rugby League Club facility upgrade, including disabled amenities
  • Uralla Tennis Courts upgrade
  • Pathways composite project – Invergowrie walking /cycling track and Goldfields walking tracks with interpretive signage
