Public Spaces Legacy Program Analysis Report and Concept Designs

At its December 24 2021 Council meeting, Council resolved to extend the period of public exhibition to the 30 January 2022.
The analysis report and concept designs for the Public Spaces Legacy Program project upgrades to Pioneer Park, Rotary Park and The Glen have been prepared and will be open for public comment from 17 December 2021 until 30 January 2022.

Expression of Interest: Sale and removal of dead American Redwood tree

Uralla Shire Council is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the sale and removal of a dead American Redwood tree located at Alma Park in Uralla, NSW. Expressions of Interest will close 5:00pm, 31 January 2022.

Update: Change to McMaugh Gardens visiting restrictions

One vaccinated visitor per resident per day now permitted at Uralla Council’s aged-care centre, McMaugh Gardens.

Uralla residents urged to get tested

Throughout October and November, Uralla Shire Council’s Water and Sewer crew have been taking twice-weekly samples of sewage to be freighted to Sydney Water’s laboratory for testing. Every sample collected in these past two months have come back with a ‘Detected’ result for SARS-CoV-2 virus fragments.

Uralla Pony Club Jumps Ahead with Council Grant Funding

Uralla Showground is set to host an inter-club New England regional event this weekend, with Uralla and District Pony Club setting up its new showjumping equipment for its first official use.

Fifteen jumps sets were purchased with grant money from round 2 of Uralla Shire Council’s Community Grant Funding Program 2020 – 2021.

Bring your own project to work on, whether you like to crochet, spin, knit, felt, embroider, diamond art, or any other craft. Every Saturday from 10.00 am, enjoy a lovely morning of conversation and creation!

Chess Club

Come and enjoy a game or two of chess on a Saturday afternoon. Bring Your Own or use our chess sets. All experience levels welcome.

Sew & Sews

31 January 2022

A group of like-minded crafters who meet weekly at Uralla Library. We enjoy a chat, swap ideas and utilise each other’s skills and resources. Some of the craft activities include cross stitch, embroidery, quilting, sashiko, fabric art, slow stitching and patchwork - both by hand and machine. Any type of needlework is welcome.

Storytime

Movie Night @ Uralla Library

Thursday night at the movies...
Uralla Library will screen a variety of films on the first Thursday of each month. Screenings start at 5.15pm and are for people over 18 years. Due to COVID-19 social distancing requirements numbers are limited and bookings are essential.

Book Discussion Group

Do you enjoy reading, meeting people and sharing your ideas and opinions about books and authors? If so, join us at Uralla Library from 2pm-4.30pm on the 3rd Monday of every month for a lively and inclusive discussion for adults. Due to social distancing restrictions, bookings are essential. Copies of the current book of the month are available to borrow or download a copy.
