Where do I buy a wheelie bin? How much do they cost?

Wheelie bins can be purchased from Uralla Shire Council by telephoning (02) 6778 6300.

What are delivery fees outside of normal collection routes?

Please view the current Fees and Charges for the cost of delivery within 5km, 5-15km, or 15-30km outside of the Uralla and Bundarra town areas.


What day is my kerbside service?

Unless otherwise notified, services are provided on the following days every day of the year, including Public Holidays:

Invergowrie, Arding, and Saumarez Ponds: Mondays
Bundarra: Tuesdays
Uralla: Wednesdays

I don't live in a kerbside collection area, can I still get a kerbside service? 

If you live outside Invergowrie, Arding, Saumerez Ponds, Bundarra or Uralla and would like to know if a kerbside waste service is available for your property, please contact the Uralla Shire Council Waste Operations Team Leader on (02) 6778 3558.

Kerbside services are available in some circumstances, and upon prior arrangement, for residents living in other areas of the Shire.


What are the waste management facility opening hours?

Please visit our Waste Services Near You page for operating hours at the Uralla Waste Management Facility and Community Recycling Centre, Bundarra Waste Management Facility, Kingstown Waste Management Facility, and Kentucky Recycling Station.


Can I get a kerbside green waste service? 

The green waste collection service is available as an opt-in service for residents in Uralla township only. To avail of the service residents will need to pay the service fee and purchase a bin. Please visit the Fees and Charges page for the current fees. The annual service fee is charged on pro rata basis. Residents can sign up for a green waste service through the Uralla Shire Council office on (02) 6778 6300.


Where can I recycle my mobile telephone?

Mobile Muster bins are located at:

  • Uralla Waste Management Facility and Community Recycling Centre
  • Uralla Shire Council Administration Building, 32 Salisbury Street, Uralla.

Can I recycle plastic bags?

Please do not put plastic bags in your yellow lid kerbside bin as soft plastics can wrap around machinery and cause blockages at our recycling facilities.

Soft plastics such as bread bags, biscuit and confectionery packets, frozen food/rice/pasta plastic bags and old reusable bags can be recycled at the nearest REDcycle drop off point (Coles in Armidale.)
