Council is committed to community consultation to keep members of our community informed and are involved in Council's decision-making which affects them and the community.

Public Notices of Community Consultation Events

At its Ordinary Meeting held 27 September 2022, Council resolved to place its draft Asset Management Plans on public exhibition for a period of 28 days to encourage community engagement in the Council’s further development of the draft plans.

The documents can be viewed or downloaded by clicking on the links below:

The draft plans set the direction and foundation of Council’s asset management practices within each area in alignment with the Community Strategic Plan.

The framework outlined in the plans include:

  • Levels of Service
  • Lifecycle Management Plan
  • Financial Summary
  • Asset Management Practices
  • Plans for Improvement and Monitoring

to ensure Council has the systems, processes and resources for the sustainable lifecycle management of the infrastructure assets owned, controlled or maintained by Council.

Written submissions on the draft Asset Management Plans can be made to the Office of the General Manager, PO Box 106, Uralla NSW 2358, or by email to council@uralla.nsw.gov.au.

Submissions will close 5:00pm on Friday, 28 October 2022.

Public Exhibition: Draft Asset Management Plans – Plant & Equipment and Transport

At the Ordinary Meeting held 23 August 2022, Council resolved to publicly exhibit the following draft Asset Management Plans for a period of 28 days:

  • Plant & Equipment
  • Transport

The draft Asset Management Plans above are an update of some of Council’s current Infrastructure Asset Management Plans.

The draft plans set the direction and foundation of Council’s asset management practices within each area in alignment with the Community Strategic Plan 2022-2032.

The framework outlined in the plans include:

  • Levels of Service
  • Lifecycle Management Plan
  • Financial Summary
  • Asset Management Practices
  • Plans for Improvement and Monitoring

to ensure Council has the systems, processes and resources for the sustainable lifecycle management of the infrastructure assets owned, controlled or maintained by Council.

Plant & Equipment Asset Management Plan

Hard copies will be available at the general stores in Bundarra, Kentucky, Invergowrie and Kingstown, as well as at the Uralla Library and Uralla Shire Council Customer Service Centre.

Written submissions on the draft Asset Management Plans can be made to the Office of the General Manager (Reference: Plant & Equipment UINT/21/11341 or Transport UINT/22/5168) PO Box 106, Uralla NSW 2358, or by email to council@uralla.nsw.gov.au.

Submissions open on Thursday, 25 August 2022 and will close Thursday, 22 September 2022 at 5:00pm.

 

Uralla Shire Councillors will be having a series of community engagement sessions throughout the Shire.

Initial dates and venues are as follows:

Kentucky at the Hall, Thursday 21 July from 6-8pm

Kingstown, Thursday 18 August from 5:30-7pm

Invergowrie/Saumarez at the Barry Munday Reserve, Saturday 17 September from 11am-2pm (free sausage sizzle)

Rocky River Tennis Courts, Sunday 16 October from 2-4pm

Bundarra at the Pub, Thursday 17 November from 6-8pm

Come along to meet your Councillors and discuss issues that are important to you.

Public Forums

To facilitate open communication with the community, members of the public are welcome to address Council during Council meetings. To speak at a public forum in a Council meeting, a person must make an application in writing identifying the item of business they wish to address.
