Council is committed to community consultation to keep members of our community informed and are involved in Council's decision-making which affects them and the community.

Public Notices of Community Consultation Events

At the November Ordinary Meeting, Council resolved to publicly exhibit the draft Loan Borrowing Policy 2021 for a period of 28 Days.

The objectives of Council’s Loan Borrowing Policy are to:
  • detail Council’s planned financial management strategy for existing and future debt;
  • provide guidance for the prudent borrowing of funds.

Paper copies will also be available for viewing at the Uralla and Bundarra libraries, at Council's Customer Service Centre, and at general stores throughout the Shire.

At its Ordinary meeting held 23 November 2021, Council resolved to place the Uralla Shire Council Open Space Strategy on public exhibition for a period of 56 days.

Written submissions or enquiries should be addressed to the General Manager and can be submitted by letter mailed to PO Box 106 Uralla NSW 2358, provided to Council’s Customer Service Centre at 32 Salisbury Street Uralla, or emailed to council@uralla.nsw.gov.au.

Submissions close at 5:00pm on 20 January 2022.

At its Ordinary meeting held 26 October 2021, Council resolved to submit an Expression of Interest for the NSW Government’s Streets as Shared Spaces Program to support a trial of increased outdoor dining and facilitate street activities by business on Council owned roads [35.10/21]:

That Council:

  1. Submit an EOI for the Streets as Shared Spaces Program for

    i. Central business area: Uralla (Bridge St and Hill Street between Salisbury St and King St) $400k; and

    ii. Central business area: Bundarra (Bendemeer St between Souter St and Bowline St) $100k.

  2. Place on public display the EOI and invite submissions.

Should Council’s EOI be shortlisted, Council will have the opportunity to submit a full application for funding. Successful projects will be announced in March 2022.

Public Forums

To facilitate open communication with the community, members of the public are welcome to address Council during Council meetings. To speak at a public forum in a Council meeting, a person must make an application in writing identifying the item of business they wish to address.
