Council’s Community Grants Program now open

Round 2 of Uralla Shire Council’s 2020-21 Community Grants Program is open for community groups and organisations to apply for projects and activities to benefit the Uralla Shire community.

Council invites groups and organisations in the community to apply for grants of up to $3000 for eligible projects, activities, or events to build community capacity or provide supplementary funding to assist with social, cultural, recreational, educational, and environmental outcomes.

Uralla Shire Mayor, Cr Michael Pearce said he was looking forward to seeing community groups and organisations take advantage of the grant funding opportunity to deliver projects and activities for the Uralla Shire community.

Council’s annual Community Grants Program provides financial support to community groups and organisations to deliver projects, activities and events which benefit the Uralla Shire community under the following categories:

  • Community development
  • Arts and cultural development
  • Social services
  • Environmental initiatives
  • Sport and recreational activities
  • Educational support

Round 2 of Council’s Community Grants Program opened on 1 February and will close on 28 February 2021. Applications will be assessed by the Community Grants Panel and awarded at Council’s March 2021 Ordinary Meeting.

Individuals can apply for a Community Grant for up to $300 any time of year, provided that the application is submitted at least four weeks prior to the commencement of the project or activity.
