Uralla Shire Council is calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the removal and collection of 4,000 cubic metres of overburden soil from the Tolleys Gully Bridge construction project.
The overburden consists primarily of soil and decomposed granite. Council does not provide any warranty as to the condition of the soil.
Expressions of Interest must include:
- Contractor details;
- Amount of soil to be collected;
- Licences;
- Insurances; and
- Relevant Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS).
There is no charge for the removal and collection of the soil. It is the responsibility of the bidder to collect and transport the overburden soil at their own cost.
Council requires collection, transportation and disposal of the overburden soil to be in compliance with the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997.

Overburden soil must be removed from the site by 30 November 2022.
