Developer Forum to assist local developers and businesses

Published on 12 November 2020

Developers and businesses looking to help grow and develop the Uralla Shire are invited to a breakfast forum to help them navigate NSW State regulations.

Uralla Shire Mayor Cr Michael Pearce said the forum will proactively answer developers’ questions and encourage quality commercial, industrial, and residential development in the Shire.

“This is a key opportunity for Council to work with local businesses and developers to assist the future economic growth of the Shire,” Mayor Peace said.

“We understand regulatory requirements can be confusing at times, and want to make the process as clear as possible to support development in the Shire and help minimise avoidable delays that can unnecessarily hold up development.”

Topics on the agenda include development application documentation, Bushfire Attack Level assessments, requirements of the State Environmental Planning Policy (Koala Habitat Protection) 2019, construction certificates and subdivisions.

There will also be the opportunity to address queries or issues which developers may have in a question and answer session.

The forum will be held on Wednesday, 25 November 2020 at 7:30am for a 7:45am start at the Uralla Memorial Hall. The session is anticipated to conclude by around 8:30am.  Breakfast and coffee will be provided.

Those wishing to attend are required to register in advance to facilitate COVID Safe guidelines and catering purposes by emailing council@uralla.nsw.gov.au or by telephoning Council’s Customer Service Centre on (02) 6778 6300. Registration closes Monday, 23 November 2020 at 10:00am.
