Changes to Council Meetings Due to COVID-19
The health and safety of our community is our first priority and we are closely monitoring the advice and adhering to the directives from the Government and public health authorities.
Until further notice and consistent with current directions related to physical distancing and COVID Safe guidelines, the following measures will be taken for our Ordinary & Extraordinary Meetings of Council.
As per room and capacity limitations a maximum of four members of the public are able to attend the meeting in Council Chambers at any one time noting that in the case of a development application preference will be given to the applicant if they wish to attend. Limited additional capacity (maximum three persons) will also be available for members of the public in the foyer of the Council Chambers building on a first come first serve basis.
Members of the public wishing to speak on an agenda item will need to register their attendance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note to facilitate the above directions some members of the public may be asked to wait in the library or an alternate free space and will be called when ready.
Chambers configuration has been temporarily changed to accommodate required physical distancing measures and we encourage all staff, Councillors and members of the public to follow precautionary measures including maintain a 1.5m distance and use of the provided hand sanitiser.
In accordance with Council’s Code of Meeting Practice, Council continues to publish webcast audio recordings of all Ordinary and Extraordinary Meetings of Council to our website after the meeting.
