First Strategic Water Workshop with Public Works Advisory
Published on 24 June 2025
Public Works Advisory kicked off its three-part technical workshop series on 18 June 2025, with the first session held at the Uralla Court House as part of the Strategic Water Planning Study (IWCM project).
The workshop drew an engaged audience, including Councillors, residents, and representatives participating online from the NSW Department of Health, the Department of Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Water (DCCEEW), and Council’s IWCM community engagement specialists, Becscomm.
The session focused on the Issues Paper Report and Secure Yield Modelling data, with Public Works representatives welcoming feedback from the community. They noted the input was instrumental in identifying gaps and refining the available information. The presentation of complex technical data led to lively and constructive discussions throughout the day.
The next workshop in the series, Workshop 2 – Options Assessment Technical Review, will take place in September.
This initiative is funded by the Department of Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Water through the Safe and Secure Future Water Program.
