There’s little question that ANZAC Day 2020 will be different this year.  As a community we have shown our commitment to adaptability during this challenging time and I have no doubt that this Saturday we will ensure our Australian servicemen and women are remembered.

While we may not be able to gather together this year for our usual services and march, RSL NSW is sharing many ways that we can commemorate ANZAC Day and I would encourage you all to visit their website and make use of the wonderful resources available.

Mr Russ French, President of the Uralla RSL Sub-branch is also encouraging Uralla Shire residents to light up the dawn at home and stand at the end of their driveway or balcony at 6am on ANZAC Day while listening to a service live on ABC Radio.

I would like to thank the community once again for their cooperation and patience at this time, you’ve all been amazing during what has been a very challenging time.

Remember to stay connected digitally with family, friends and neighbours and also stay informed by keeping up to date with information from Federal and State government sources.

Mayor, Cr Michael Pearce
