Update From Our Water Team
Published on 25 June 2025
Our water team is upgrading critical water infrastructure in Uralla township to improve the reliability and performance of the local water supply system.
The water mains in this area are ageing and increasingly prone to leaks, bursts, and service disruptions. These essential upgrades will help maintain consistent water pressure, support future growth, and ensure the ongoing delivery of high-quality water to the community.
To prepare for the upcoming water main renewal in Rowan Avenue, Council engaged contractor Stripes to carry out preliminary works along Marsh Lane.
Stage One (between Plane Avenue and Marsh Road) is now complete.
This phase included the installation of a new redundant water main, which will help maintain water supply during future upgrades or emergency shutdowns. This means less disruption for nearby properties and improved service continuity for the community.
Construction has now moved into the next phase, with works progressing between Marsh Road and Duke Street. This stage continues the installation of new infrastructure to further strengthen the local network and improve long-term service reliability.
The Water and Wastewater team extends appreciation to local residents and businesses for their ongoing patience and cooperation during these important works.
If you have any questions about these works, please get in touch on 6778 6300 or council@uralla.nsw.gov.au
