Public Notice: Upcoming Bridge Street Water Main Works
Uralla Shire Council advises that essential water main upgrade works will soon commence in the Bridge Street area, led by contractor Trazlbat. These upgrades are part of Council’s ongoing infrastructure improvement program.
Stage 1 – Exploratory Investigations
Start Date:14th July 2025
Duration: Approximately 10 days
Purpose: Locating underground utilities before construction begins
No water outages will occur during this phase.
Stage 2 – Water Main Replacement Works
Estimated Start: In approximately 3 weeks
Location: Within the parking lanes on Bridge Street, Uralla
Work Areas:

Eastern side: From Salisbury Street to Hill Street

Eastern side: From Hill Street to opposite the Brewery

Western side: From Hill Street to the Brewery

What to Expect:

Temporary loss of parking in work zones

Footpath access may be impacted, but pedestrian access will be maintained where possible

Hill Street access may be restricted during intersection works – detours will be in place

The contractor will work with Council to minimise impacts to businesses, driveways, and outdoor seating
Water Outages

No water outages will occur during the initial investigation phase

During the construction phase, isolated water shutdowns may occur
-
Advance notice will be provided to affected properties prior to any planned outages
