Draft Terms of Reference Aged Care Compliance and Assurance Committee

At its Ordinary Meeting held on 29 April 2025 Council resolved to exhibit the Draft Terms of Reference for the Aged Care Compliance and Assurance Committee.


Purpose and Function of the Committee

The Committee is proposed as an assurance advisory body reporting to Council. It will:

  • Monitor and promote safe, quality care in Council’s aged care services.
  • Provide expert advice on clinical governance, quality assurance, and risk management.
  • Support the governing body’s ability to meet obligations under the Aged Care Act.
  • Promote continuous improvement and consumer engagement in aged care delivery.

The Committee does not hold decision-making powers but is authorised to make recommendations to Council based on its reviews and assessments.

The Draft Terms of Reference will be on display until 18 June 2025.
