Expressions of Interest: Coordination of Uralla Shire Community Events

Uralla Shire Council is seeking expressions of interest for community events to be held in the Uralla Shire. The deadline for submissions has been extended and will now close Thursday, 30 June 2022 at 5:00PM. 

At its May Ordinary meeting, Council resolved to apply for allocated grant funding under the NSW Government’s Reconnecting Regional NSW – Community Events Program. Council is now seeking expressions of interest for events under the program.

Events and programs must meet the eligibility requirements in the Reconnecting Regional NSW Community Events Program - Program Guidelines.

Events must:

  • Be open to all members of the public
  • Free to attend or a very small fee to cover any extra costs
  • Have a primary purpose of reconnecting communities and improving social cohesion of the local community
  • Be planned and delivered using the COVID-19 NSW Public Health Orders current at that time and have a COVID-19 Safety Plan in place for all events (the development of these plans is an eligible expense), and
  • Be held before 31 March 2023.

Successful applicants will be required to meet Council’s event eligibility requirements:

  • Provide valid Certificate of Currency of insurance - public liability cover $20 million current on the date of any proposed event.
  • Submit any and all development approvals/landowners consent applications in accordance with Uralla Shire Council established processes.
  • Complete any and all required forms as required by Uralla Shire Council for the completion, processing and acquittal of the grant funding application under the NSW Government’s Reconnecting Regional NSW – Community Events Program.
