Notice of Proposed Road Name

Uralla Shire Council announces that the following name is proposed for a new road:

Myrtle Close

Locality:  Uralla

Background:  Named after Myrtle Cooper, who was married to Ray Cooper.  They were the owners of the Uralla sawmill, the undertakers, and Cooper's Hardware in the C G Cooper & Sons building.  Myrtle was a prominent member of the Uniting Church and volunteered regularly.  Myrtle died on 3 January 2007 aged 90.  Many of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren still live in the Uralla area.

Reason for Proposal:  To progress Stage Two of Subdivision DA-3-2022 at 10-12 Fitzroy Street Uralla.

Location:  Starting at Hill Street, 95 metres south of Fitzroy Street North, running north east for 118 metres.

Submissions to this proposed road name are sought by 15 March 2024 (15 business days from the date of publishing this notice on Councils website, pursuant to the Roads Regulation 2018 and NSW Address Policy and User Manual).
