Public Exhibition: Draft Delivery Program and Operational Plan 2022-23

At its Ordinary meeting held 24 May 2022, Council resolved to place the Draft Delivery Program 2022-2026 and Draft Operational Plan 2022-2023 (including Statement of Revenue, Budget and Fees and Charges) on public exhibition from 25 May 2022 until 22 June 2022.

These strategic documents are part of Council’s suite of Integrated Planning and Reporting documents.

The Delivery Program sets out the principle activities that Council’s will undertake to deliver against the Community Strategic Plan over a four year term.

The Operational Plan sets out the actions that Council will undertake to deliver the activities in the four-year Delivery Program, and includes the Statement of Revenue, Budget and Fees and Charges.

Council is seeking your feedback on these strategic documents for consideration at its Ordinary Meeting to be held Tuesday, 28 June 2022.

During and following this public exhibition process, Council has resolved to engage an independent financial expert to assist Council with the review of the draft 2022-2023 budget to identify any further saving and revenue options, including:

  1. the forecast fees and charges revenue
  2. kerbside collections optimum service delivery method
  3. optimised staffing costs
  4. retaining services within budget

The independent review of the draft 2022-2023 budget will occur both during the public consultation period and in the first quarter of the 2022-23 financial year.
