The Independent Planning Commission NSW is holding a public meeting to listen carefully to the community’s views and encourage you to have your say.

The NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment has now completed its whole-of-government assessment of the proposed New England Solar Farm (SSD-9255) and referred it to the Independent Planning Commission NSW for determination.

The Independent Planning Commission NSW is holding a public meeting to listen carefully to the community’s views about this matter. This is the public’s last chance to comment on the Department’s assessment report before a final decision is made.

The meeting will be held at the RSL Memorial Hall, 27 Salisbury Street, Uralla, NSW 2358 at 4:30pm on Tuesday, 11 February 2020 to hear from as many people as possible.

If you wish to apply to speak at the public meeting, you must complete an expression of interest form and return it via email to ipcn@ipcn.nsw.gov.au so that it is received by no later than 5pm AEDT on Tuesday, 4 February 2020.

If you can’t make the meeting or do not wish to speak in public, you can submit your comments in writing up to one week after the public meeting via:

Written comments are weighed the same as spoken presentations.
 
This public meeting will be recorded, and a written transcript published on the IPC website.

Speakers should familiarise themselves with the Commission’s ‘Public Meeting Guidelines’ prior to presenting to the Panel.
