Update: Change to McMaugh Gardens visiting restrictions

Visiting hours have been extended to 9am - 7pm 

McMaugh Gardens has now received a Commonwealth issued supply of RAT and can provide these for close, frequent visitors of residents. If visitors are able to provide their own RAT this is appreciated to assist with our ongoing supply of RAT Kits stock.

UPDATE 14 January 2021

Please note that visitation has resumed at McMaugh Gardens:

• A maximum of one fully vaccinated visitor per resident per day above the age of 12 years. The visit must take place in their room or in an outdoor space. No visitation in common areas. No visitors under 12 years is allowed. 

• Visiting hours are between 10am and 2pm. 

• Visitors to provide a negative antigen test prior to entering the facility. We understand the supply is limited for antigen tests however this is the best way to keep our residents safe.  

Rapid antigen testing of residents has been carried out, with no positive results having been identified to date. 

The staff are continuing with the additional precautions and wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE). All staff undertake a rapid antigen test prior to the commencement of their shifts. 

Council will continue to monitor the situation and will advise the community when visitation restrictions are lifted. 

Family and friends of residents are encouraged to maintain contact using phone or via video telecommunications during this time.
