From today, Monday 11 October, residents of Uralla Shire are urged to carry proof of vaccination status (or exemption) with them when they leave their homes.
You may be asked by a staff member or authorised officer (such as a police officer) to view this evidence when on business or public premises, as per the updated public health order: https://legislation.nsw.gov.au/information/covid19-legislation/general.
Council facilities and services are affected by this public health order and can only permit vaccinated visitors to have entry to its premises. This includes customer service, Council chambers, library, McMaugh Gardens (additional public health orders also apply), Visitor Information Centre and waste management facilities.
For an updated list of changes to all Council Services and Facilities, please visit: https://www.uralla.nsw.gov.au/Community/COVID-19-Information/COVID-19-Facilities-Update.
These requirements form part of the first step in the NSW Government’s roadmap and is likely to be in place until 1 December 2021.
Existing measures such as wearing of face-masks and sign-in at these facilities continue to remain in place.
Unvaccinated residents are encouraged to telephone Council for assistance or complete their transaction online wherever possible. Click and collect services are available to all residents at the Uralla Library.
