Council flags will fly at half-mast on Saturday, 11 July 2020 as a mark of mourning and respect of Komeroi Elder Uncle Lyall Munro Senior.
Uncle Lyall Munro Senior was a respected Komeroi Elder (pronounced Gomeroi) who was dedicated to improving the lives of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. He passed away on 21 May 2020 in his hometown of Moree. A State Funeral will take place in Moree for immediate family on Saturday, 11 July 2020.
Uncle Lyall Munro Senior demonstrated a life-long commitment to campaigning for the rights, social justice, equality and interests of Aboriginal people in NSW, nationally and internationally.
