Create NSW encourages applications for up to $5,000 through their Rescue and Restart funding round. $1.5 million was allocated from the Rescue and Restart Package program to support smaller organisations during this challenging time and will provide one-off grants of $5,000 to volunteer, community-based arts and cultural organisations to remain operational.
The eligibility conditions for Rescue and Restart were restricted to independent organisations which unintentionally excluded groups and organisations legislated under Section 355 Local Government Act. This restriction has now been removed and applications are welcomed from these community groups. Please note to remain eligible the organisation must not receive core program/operation funding from their local council. Applications will close 18 June 2021, or earlier if funds are expended before that date.
