Council invites non-profit community groups and charitable organisations to apply for use of the Uralla Community Street Store during 2021.

Applications are now open for booking Council’s Community Street Store for the 2021 calendar year.

The Uralla Community Street Store, located at 60 Bridge Street, is available to local non-profit groups for a week during each calendar year to raise funds and awareness of the non-profit group’s activities.

Uralla Shire Council Mayor, Cr Michael Pearce expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunities the Uralla Community Street Store provides to the Uralla Shire community.

“The Community Street Store is a fantastic way for non-profit community groups to fundraise for their activities, and a vital point of social connection in our community,” Mayor Pearce said.

“Council is proud to be able to support our local community groups through the Street Store, which has become a treasured fixture of the Uralla CBD over the years.”

The Uralla Community Street Store was established as an avenue for local non-profit groups to raise funds for their activities during the year. Council maintains the Street Store and facilitates community groups’ use of the store free of charge.

“When walking down Bridge Street, you know there will always be a friendly face at the Street Store,” Mayor Pearce said.

“Council encourages all Uralla Shire based non-profit community groups and charitable organisations to apply for use during the 2021 calendar year.”

Applications for use of the Uralla Community Street Store should be submitted to Council by 13 November 2020 to enable finalisation of the Street Store 2021 bookings schedule by late November.

Community groups seeking more information or who wish to apply should visit the Uralla Street Store page on the Council website.
