Change to Council Services

The Uralla Shire Council community is affected by the Armidale local government area pandemic restrictions that commenced at 5pm Saturday 7 August 2021 and run until 12.01am Sunday 15 August 2021. See nsw.gov.au/covid-19/rules

Restrictions also apply to anyone who has been in the Armidale local government area since the beginning of 29 July 2021.

Although these restrictions don’t currently apply to Uralla local government area, many staff members and many community members are affected due to having been in the Armidale area since 29 July 2021.

As a result, Uralla Shire Council’s General Manager, in consultation with the Mayor and staff, has made the following changes to Council’s regular services for the week beginning Monday 9 August.

Customer service: A Customer Service staff member will be available by phone on 6778 6300 from 8.30am - 4.30pm each weekday (with a lunch break from 1pm - 2pm), or customers are encouraged to complete interactions online at uralla.nsw.gov.au. No visitors will be received onsite during the week beginning Monday 9 August. 

Library: The Uralla Library will be closed to visitors. Customers are encouraged to access online services through the Central Northern Regional Library’s eLibrary at www.cnl.nsw.gov.au. A staff member will also be available for phone enquiries during regular opening hours.

Visitor Information Centre (VIC): The Uralla VIC will be closed to visitors. A staff member will also be available for phone enquiries during regular opening hours.

Tablelands Community Transport: Some services, such as groups, have been affected. Contact TCT for more information on 6778 6350.

Tablelands Community Support: Essential services will continue, other services may be affected. Contact TCS for more information on 6778 6450.

Essential Services, including waste management facilities, parks, playgrounds, sporting facilities, residential aged care, community care, sewer, water and road maintenance will all be conducted as usual.

Other Council business will continue within staff capacity behind the scenes using online/remote working arrangements including phone and video meetings with customers by appointment.
